I prefer to classify them this way:
Version 1: Mizuki Ichiro, Kageyama Hironobu, Matsumoto Rica, Sakamoto Eizou and Endoh Masaaki
Version 1.5: Kageyama Hironobu, Matsumoto Rica, Sakamoto Eizou, Endoh Masaaki and Kitadani Hiroshi
(Interestingly, although aniki was seen in a JAM group photo with Kitadani, he's not involved in Nageki no Rozario, as far as I know)
Version 2: Kageyama Hironobu, Matsumoto Rica, Endoh Masaaki, Kitadani Hiroshi, Okui Masami and Fukuyama Yoshiki
Version 2.5/3 (?): Kageyama Hironobu, Matsumoto Rica, Endoh Masaaki, Kitadani Hiroshi, Okui Masami, Fukuyama Yoshiki and Ricardo Cruz
While Mizuki's presence and Sakamoto's unique high pitched vocals lend some weight to JAM Project, It was the addition of Okui and Fukuyama (and possibly Kitadani) that breathes new life into JAM Project (The Gate of the Hell, anyone?). It can also be noted that it was only after Mizuki left the group that Kageyama play a much more pro-active role in composing the lyrics and music of JAM songs, and with the rest of the members being invloved one by one, the music of JAM reach a new high.
Personally, I'm more inclined towards the new JAM, and I sure hope they will keep evolving by including more anison singers.
